Step-by-Step Guide on Launching an Agent Token

Step 1: Click Create

Creating a New Agent

Step 2: Select your Agent Creation Option (For the purposes of this guide, it will be focused on Launch A New Token)

• Launch A New Token: use this when you do not have any token launched for the agent previously

• I Have My Own Token: use this when you already have a token launched for the agent (on another chain e.g., Solana) and would like to use it to pair with $VIRTUAL. This will create an agent and LP pool with $VIRTUAL.

Step 3: Submit the Agent Creation Form

• Profile Picture: A visual representation of the agent. (It cannot be changed on-chain after submission)

• Name: The agent’s unique identifier. (It cannot be changed on-chain after submission)

• Ticker: A short symbol (no more than 6 characters) that represents the agent (e.g., LUNA for Luna). Do not include another $ as we will do so for you (It cannot be changed on-chain after submission)

• Description: A brief overview of the agent’s purpose and characteristics, including its personality, interests, and backstory. (Do note: This is merely a front-end facing description and does not determine your agent’s sentience and actions, that would be on the Agent Description configured within G.A.M.E.)

• Agent Type: Choose the most relevant agent type. (It cannot be changed after submission)

  • ON-CHAIN: trading capabilities, anything that is related to on-chain

  • INFORMATION: provide insights, information related to a topic

  • PRODUCTIVITY: helps with productivity-related matters

  • CREATIVE: Produce outputs like meme, arts, music etc

  • ENTERTAINMENT: KAIL (AI KOLs), Musicians etc

Step 4: Determine how much of the % supply you’d like to purchase

• 100 VIRTUAL is needed to create the agent

• Here is what it costs to buy up x% of the supply on the first buy/deployer

  • 1,100 VIRTUAL = 15.36% supply

  • 2,600 VIRTUAL = 30%

  • 4,100 VIRTUAL = 40%

  • 6,000 VIRTUAL = 50%

  • 9,000 VIRTUAL = 60%

  • 14,000 VIRTUAL = 70%

  • 24,000 VIRTUAL = 80%

  • 42,000 VIRTUAL = 87.5%

• As FYI, 87.5% is the maximum supply to be purchased up pre-bonding. After your agent has bonded/graduated/red-pilled, the remaining 12.5% will be available on Uniswap

• Once you have approved and signed on your deployer wallet, the agent will then be created

1. Think about your strategy

The best launch is a thoughtful launch, you wanna make sure you know why you’re doing this (whether long-term or out of interest), how best to launch it, and what you should look out for when planning

• What’s your objective of doing this and do you have an idea of what you want to bring to life?

• Is it crazy enough that it excites you that it will excite someone else? Test it by sharing it with some friend/stranger - they should ideally think you’re retarded or at least laugh at it

• Do you have a launch strategy, i.e., tokenomics breakdown, day 1 distribution, and how to activate fans, how to manage fud, what to expect etc.? (We’ll share more reading on this soon but else DM @ehwangah on TG)

2. Prepare details for launch

Preparing this in advance makes the launch as quick as a few clicks with no hiccups, don’t worry — you can edit these details after red-pilling your agent on app.virtuals.io

What is red-pilling? It’s when your agent graduates from the bonding curve, or when 42k VIRTUAL has been bought into the curve

• Visit app.virtuals.io and just click the “Create New AI Agent” flow, just familiarise yourself with the flow and details required. Refer to here for the definition of the fields.

• Do you have a logo of your agent ready?

• Do you have a ticker name?

• Do you know what your ticker symbol will be? (Tip: Don’t add ‘$’)

• Character card (Tip: Refer to the below for a guide on how to write your character card)

• Does your deployer wallet have enough $VIRTUAL token to buy up the intended supply?

  FYI, excluding the 100 VIRTUAL service tax; here is what it costs to buy up x% of the supply on the first buy/deployer

3. Prepare your marketing plan and touchpoints

Do this because you don’t want some front-runner stealing your agent username and also to make sure when you read through your content like a ‘storyline’ — does it invoke a feeling of excitement or bullishness that instils confidence in a holder.

• Create your X agent account, and fill up the necessary details, e.g., picture, bio, name, website

• Make sure you have a public dev/founder, i.e., an ‘evangelist’ for the project that builds in public

• Prepare a list of posts say 7 days worth, ready for X so when people buy/hold/own your token — as they conduct their due diligence — they are inspired with confidence to buy more, hold, or share with their friends on the project (refer to the Pro-Tips section below for details.

4. Make sure everyone and everything is ready and in place

Don’t be anxious, just be ready, and don’t overthink it. Launching early > getting it perfect because it will never be perfect. Fix along the way.

• Is your team well informed on their to-dos?

• Do you have the posts up and ready?

• Think through FAQs and answers — anticipate common questions and issues and provide clear answers and solution

During Launch

5. Share the joy

Share it so people can learn about what you’re working on and support you to get your agent to red-pill

Tip here is you want to share the earliest news to people who believe in you. They will form the strongest holders early on. Think 1000 true fans, and this will reflect in the price stability of your launch

• If you are in a team, get everyone to share about it (Tip: share the app.virtuals.io link as it’s the most official site to buy from)

• Post your Announcement Post on your public dev/founder account (Tip: highlight your background, the team working on this, why you’re excited about your AI Agent and how it’s going to change the world!)

6. Update your Agent’s X account

To guide people on the official links and CA

• Update the bio with the CA so people can verify it’s the right one

• Update the link directly on the bio

• Also make sure it has the automated label so X doesn’t temporarily ban it

7. Setup your Agent’s Sentient X

8. Setup the discovery touchpoints for new holders

• Setup dexscreener

• Setup CoinGecko and **CoinMarketCap —** this is important for visibility and credibility.

• Update your Agent’s X account with the new CA since after red piling there’s a new CA

• If you have an airdrop planned, share with the public the details

9. Join fellow buildors

No better way to learn, resolve tech issues, find your true fans than to immerse in a space where others like you are at.

• Builders chat: Where a confluence of builders who are asking the similar questions or want to contribute

• Find your APISDK: Where 3rd party plugin/infra/api providers share modules you can plug and play into with our GAME framework

• Find other builders: We wanna encourage agent to agent handshakes

Pro-tips on your X

• Things to include in your Launch Announcement Post

  • Include relevant account tags

  • Include the proper CA

  • Use the app.virtuals.io site link to direct people

  • What’s your thesis on why this AI Agent matters

  • Tokenomics

  • Upcoming plans

  • or anything bullish really, it’ll minimally impact the characterization of the agent and atleast it will standout as info for those in the trenches vs another personality agent
